MERU AND

SHIVLING

Our journey to the center of the universe.

A group of five Filipinos and five Indians head on an expedition to the Indian Himalayas to trace the source of the most sacred river in India, the Ganges.

Reaching an elevation of 5025 meters above sea level they headed all the way to the snowline of the ice-capped summits of Meru and Shivling.

It was a 16 hour journey from New Delhi, driving through the cliffside roads of Dehradun and the high altitude city of Gangotri (3200 MASL) where the adventure ultimately begins.

Last Light— and at dusk the sun gently kissed the mountain goodbye, leaving the last remaining rays of her light engraved in his forehead only to vanish seconds within the dark. October 16, 2017

Only the stars can tell the story that lies within these cold frozen nights amidst the tallest mountains of the Indian Himalayas. The beauty that we have witnessed, and the moments that have been lived are held tightly, forever shut in the shadows of the crevices of these 6000-meter mountains of Shivling and Meru, where only one dares to dream the climb— Tonight, I have dreamt with the stars.
